Buying into best practice
27th May 2009
The IBC's Consultancy Purchasing Steering Group (CPSG) has launched a Statement of Best Practice Behaviours which sets out the behaviours buyers of consultancy should expect and receive from consultants in order to create sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships. Originally styled a "Charter" as CPSG sought IBC input, the IBC membership thought it better simply to call this a Statement of Best Practice Behaviours. The draft Statement, which is still open for input from consultants and buyers, was formally launched at a central London event "Consultants & Procurement: sharing a problem, sharing a solution". This brought together consultants and buyers to look at the consultancy relationship from both sides and review the draft document.
